The Alliance for the Arts (AFTA) is thrilled to announce the return of Arts on Tap, its premier live music and craft beer event, headlined by Florida native JJ Grey & Mofro. The live outdoor concert will take place on Saturday, April 4, on the Alliance’s campus in Fort Myers and will feature local craft breweries, food trucks, and an unforgettable night of music under the stars. Located at 10091 McGregor Boulevard just south of Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers.

Arts on Tap has become a signature event for the Alliance, drawing music lovers from across Southwest Florida. With JJ Grey & Mofro’s deep regional following and history of sold-out performances, patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets early. Proceeds from Arts on Tap directly support the Alliance’s year-round visual and performing arts programs, ensuring continued access to the arts for Lee County residents of all ages.

JJ Grey & Mofro is an American Southern soul-rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida. Since the release of Grey’s debut album Blackwater in 2001, he has earned a devoted following with his deeply personal, masterfully written blend of funk-infused rock and front-porch Southern soul. His most recent album, Olustee–his tenth studio release and first in nine years–marks his debut as a self-producer and showcases his signature storytelling through themes of redemption, resilience, rebirth, and connection to the natural world.

Over the course of their career, JJ Grey & Mofro have performed at major festivals including Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, the Montreal Jazz Festival, Byron Bay Blues Festival, and Fuji Rock Festival in Japan. Grey has shared the stage with artists such as Lenny Kravitz, B.B. King, The Allman Brothers Band, The Black Crowes, Mavis Staples, and Booker T. Jones. His music has been featured in numerous films and television series, including Friday Night Lights, House of Cards, Criminal Minds, The Glades, and The Deadliest Catch.

The band’s December 1, 2023 performance at the Alliance exceeded attendance projections, underscoring the community’s growing appetite for live music experiences. In response, the Alliance has reviewed and enhanced event operations, improving logistics and guest flow to ensure a smoother, more enjoyable experience for all attendees. The 2026 Arts on Tap event will reflect these improvements and celebrate the confident return of one of the Alliance’s most anticipated concerts.
