The New York Philharmonic String Quartet performs November 20 at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center
The Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center is proud to announce the New York Philharmonic String Quartet as the first chamber concert of the season! Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m. is your chance to indulge your senses with some of the world’s best string players arriving all the way from NYC!
Since its founding, the quartet has earned high praise in numerous appearances. The New York Philharmonic String Quartet is already highly acclaimed as The New York Times labeled the Quartet “a marvelous ensemble” and The London Times called them “exemplary”. The Palm Beach Daily News, rightfully so, praised the musicians for their “cohesiveness, balance, perfect intonation and … refreshing non-theatrical stage presence.”All four of the Quartet’s members have won multiple prestigious prizes and have performed as concerto soloists with the New York Philharmonic and orchestras around the world. The blending of these extraordinary instrumentalists: Concertmaster Frank Huang; Principal Associate Concertmaster Sheryl Staples; Principal Viola Cynthia Phelps; and Principal Cellist Carter Brey, has brought to fruition a most delectable melodic experience. Join us for an incredible evening of music!
