Macomber to speak at Cape Coral Historical Society meeting Tuesday
The regular monthly meeting for the Cape Coral Historical Society will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday Jan. 8, at Cultural Park Theatre, 528 Cultural Park Boulevard, Cape Coral.
Robert N. Macomber, author, lecturer, and internationally recognized award-winning writer and television commentator will be the guest speaker. He is lecturer in the distinguished Military Series at the Center for Army Analysis at Fort Belvoir, near Washington, D.C., and has presented at the U.S. Southern Command’s Notable Military Author Series, the West Point Society and the Office of Naval Intelligence. He has been an annual guest author and speaker aboard the Queen Mary 2 since her maiden voyage, as well as aboard the Queen Victoria, and other ultra-luxury liners. He is also a maritime commentator for Florida PBS documentaries, a magazine writer, and a naval history lecturer for the American History Forum and the Civil War Education Association.
Macomber lives in Matlacha and is author of the “HONOR SERIES” of naval novels. His latest book “Honorable Lies” led him in directions he didn’t anticipate and friendships he values highly. There will be new insights about Cuba’s history and future.
