City’s free ‘Movie in the Park’ rescheduled for today
The first season Movie in the Park has been rescheduled for today, Saturday, Sept 22, at approximately 7:30 p.m., when the sun goes down at Jaycee Park.
The movie is “Soul Surfer” – the story of a world-class surfer who survived a shark attack and came back to be a champion.
The movie is free.
“Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and kick back courtesy of the City of Cape Coral Parks & Recreation Department,” said Special Events Coordinator Todd King. “We will have approximately one movie a month. On Oct. 20, we will have “Hocus Pocus” at Jaycee Park. On Saturday, Oct. 27, it is “Little Giants,” which will be held behind Caloosa Middle School. In December, on the 23rd, it will be “The Grinch” with Jim Carrey.”
Look for others after the new year at a neighborhood park near you, he said.
Jaycee Park is at 4215 S.E. 20th Place at the end of Beach Parkway off Del Prado Boulevard.
