A special Charity Volunteer Apprecia-tion Day will be held tomorrow, Thursday Sept. 20, at the Cape Coral Belk Department Store at the Shops at Surfside.

Many who work with local non-profits may have already gotten a coupon for the event, but as long as you bring some type of identification of working with a charitable organization, you can get an extra 20 percent off regular and sale priced purchases storewide (limited exclusions).

You can also get 15 percent off home and shoe items.

“This is our kick-off for our November event, which is Nov. 3,” said local Belk Manager Cathryn Norwood. “All of the monies raised in the November ticket sales to attend the November event go to local charity.”

That will be $5 a ticket, of which a coupon can be redeemed.

“The charities include Ronald McDonald House of SWFL, Cape Coral Art League, Rally for the Cure, the Veterans Foundation, Lee County Chapter of Bereaved Parents, the American Cancer Society, along with local schools and scouting groups. If you would like to be part of the Nov. 3 event, come in and talk to me,” Norwood said.
