A Cape Coral man is accused of child neglect after he reportedly sold crack cocaine to an undercover officer on more than one occasion with a child in his vehicle.

Tondrick Mack, 28, of 2229 N.E. Sixth St., was charged on Wednesday with two counts each of neglect child without great harm, cocaine sell and cocaine possess. As of Friday, he had been released from jail on $38,000 bond.

According to a report, Mack sold $500 worth of crack to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputy on March 8 and 14. Both purchases tested positive.

The first purchase weighed 6 grams and the second weighed 4.9 grams.

During the alleged transactions, the same child was observed seated in a child restraint chair in the back seat of the car that Mack was driving.

On Wednesday, Mack was taken into custody and questioned.

He was arrested and charged due to evidence and statements collected, according to the report. Mack was transported to the Lee County Jail.

Authorities informed him that the Department of Children and Families would be contacted. Mack declined to give the names of his children.

He could not be reached for comment Friday.

It was unknown if he had representation.

Mack has a court appearance scheduled Sept. 12.
