Police searching for man who robbed gas station in Lehigh Acres

Lee County detectives are searching for a man who held up a gas station in Lehigh Acres late Monday.

Deputies responded to a report of a robbery at the Marathon Gas Station, 1490 Lee Boulevard, at 9:39 p.m.

They met with the clerk who told them a man wearing a mask entered the store and demanded money. The clerk complied and the robber left with an undisclosed amount of cash. The man then fled in an older model dark sedan.

No one was injured during the robbery.

A perimeter was established and Aviation and K-9 units assisted in a search but the subject was not located.

He is described as a white male, between 5’7″ and 5′ 9″ tall, approximately 260 pounds, wearing a black shirt, black shorts and white sneakers.

Detectives with the Major Crimes Robbery Unit responded to the scene to investigate. Their investigation revealed there were two accomplices assisting the robber. One is described as a white male in his early 20’s between 5’7″ and 5’9″ tall, approximately 260 pounds, with short dirty blonde hair. The other is described as a thin white male in his late teens to early 20’s, between 5’7″ and 5’8″ tall, approximately 165 pounds, with short brown hair.
