The Lee County Democratic Party will hold a ribbon cutting Saturday to open their new, much-larger facility.

The ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. at 10051 McGregor Blvd, Suite 101, Fort Myers. Local officials and candidates are expected to attend.

Local Dems are stepping up their efforts for the upcoming primary and general elections by doubling the size of their Lee County campaign headquarters. The new facility will feature a dedicated “call bank” center, a huge conference room and additional offices.

“It’s our time,” said Sandra McClinton, Lee County Democratic Party chairwoman.

“We’re convinced this election will mark a turning point for the Democratic Party in Lee County and our new offices are part of that commitment,” she said.
