Parking fees waived this weekend at county boat ramps, pools and regional parks

Lee County commissioners have designated Saturday, July 28, and Sunday, July 29, as dates during which parking fees will be waived at Lee County-owned and operated boat ramps, pools and regional parks in recognition of National Park and Recreation Month and Lee County’s 125th anniversary.

No fees will be applied at the following sites:

– Regional parks: Lakes Park, Manatee Park, Hickey’s Creek Mitigation Park, Caloosahatchee Regional Park, Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, Bonita Beach Access No. 1 and No. 10, Bonita Beach Park, Bowditch Point and Lynn Hall Memorial Park.

– Boat ramps: Punta Rassa, Matlacha, Alva, Davis, Pine Island Commercial Marina and Imperial River.

– Pools: Lehigh Community Pool, North Fort Myers Community Pool, Pine Island Community Pool and San Carlos Community Pool.

Also, several days remain for amateur videographers to submit entries in Lee County Parks & Recreation’s second annual video contest.

You can feature yourself, your family or your friends participating in an activity or just enjoying the facility.
