Cape Coral Civic Assoc. to hold candidates forum for upcoming primary

In keeping with its mission Be Alert, Be Aware, Be Informed, the Cape Coral Civic Association will host its fall election Primary Candidate Forum. The meeting will be held Tuesday, July 24, at the Cape Cora Yacht Club Ball Room, 5719 Driftwood Parkway, at 7 p.m.

Former Councilperson, Alex LePera, will be the moderator.

Lee County School Board

District 2 Jeanne Dozier, Robert Chilmonik, Victor Dotres

District 3 Les Cochran

Lee County Commissioner

District 2 Cecil Pendergrass, Douglas St. Cerny, Warren Wright, Don Stillwell

District 3 Ray Judah, Larry Kiker

District 5 Frank Mann, Steven Haas

Lee County Sheriff Candidate Timothy Fisher will have 5 minutes to speak at the beginning of the meeting.

Candidates Cathleen Morgan, District 3 School Board; Paul Schafer, District 2 School Board and Sheriff Scott all had a previous engagement.

There is no charge to attend the meetings but residents are encouraged to join the Cape Coral Civic Association to help support efforts to educate and inform residents on City, County and State wide issues affecting our community. Family membership is $20 per year. Through the month of July, the CCCA is offering a 50 percent discount for new members. New members may join for only $10.

There will be coffee and refreshments after the meeting provided by the candidates. The Civic Association’s candidate forums are known for their large attendance and interesting questions. Civic invites everyone to come, listen and learn, and then exercise their right to vote on Aug.14 and again in November.
