Lee BIA’s fifth annual Bricks & Sticks Fishing Tournment winners announced
The Lee Building Industry Association’s fifth annual Bricks & Sticks Fishing Tournament held May 4 and 5 at Tarpon Point Marina had 50 teams and 166 anglers.
First place was awarded to Craig Whitaker, Matt Schell and Kerry Trotter of Team Raymond; second place was Scott Edwards and Andrew Olmsted of Team Edwards/Olmsted; and third place was Jason Kaufman and Brian Dubroski of Team Certified Heating and Cooling.
Team Stevens Construction won the Biggest Redfish award and Alec Hinton won the Junior Angler award.
Lee BIA’s fifth annual Bricks & Sticks Fishing Tournament had weigh master, Wayne Dutton of Cape Tool and Tackle, on the edge of his seat. As teams turned in their scorecards it appeared the first place bragging rights were going to be down to the eighth of an inch. Then Team Raymond turned in its scorecard with a whopping total of 167.5 inches! Creating a gap of over 15 inches between first and second place. Second place, Team Edwards/Olmsted, had a score of 150.5 inches and third place, Team Certified Heating & Cooling, had a score of 145 inches.
Caitlin Hustrulid, Lee BIA’s director of Member Services and Events said, “This year’s tournament exceeded all expectations! In fact, the fifth annual event produced the largest turnout we’ve had. We love putting this event together for our members and are so happy to have the supoprt of great sponsors who make it all possible.” Bricks & Sticks serves as a great annual gathering for a wide variety of building industry trades people to compete for fantastic prizes and enjoy a fun weekend with friends and family.
