Blood donors to receive free movie ticket and McDonald’s food

McDonald’s Corporation has teamed up with Florida’s Blood Centers to hold a series of blood drives in the Fort Myers and Cape Coral areas to help boost the local blood supply.

Due to the holiday weekend and an increase in the number of blood transfusions in area hospitals, donations are needed immediately.

Registered donors will receive a movie ticket and a McDonald’s food coupon.

The drive will be held April 9-April 14, from 11 a.m. 5 p.m. at the following McDonald’s”

The Big Red Bus will be on site taking blood donations to ensure that local hospitals have a safe and reliable blood supply. FBC is in need of donations for all blood types. Just one donation can save three lives because it’s separated into components–red blood cells, plasma and platelets. Each donation will likely be transfused into a patient within 48 to 72 hours.
