Letter carrier returns large sum of money
U.S. Postal Service letter carrier Ray Maurillo spotted a wallet in the street Wednesday afternoon while delivering mail off of Country Club Boulevard in Cape Coral. According to a release from the post office, the 40-year veteran letter carrier checked inside the wallet for identification. The wallet contained a large amount of cash and a driver’s license.
Maurillo immediately drove to the address on the driver’s license and returned the wallet to the mother of the young man who had lost it.
Maurillo is a dedicated letter carrier who well represents the integrity of the United States Postal Service employees, Debra Mitchell of the Postal Service said in a press release.
“We salute Ray for his honesty and dedicated service to the postal service and our customers,” she said.
