Organizers of the first “Wake the Cape” event, featuring local bands, have decided to cancel the concert on Oct. 15 at Royal Key Bar in Cape Coral.

Logistical issues with set up of the event became a concern, forcing organizers to change plans. The event will, however, be rescheduled at a later date.

“This will all be for the betterment of the event and we are excited about bringing this one-of-a-kind show to Cape Coral once the plans are more firmly put in place,” said Jim Kelly, one of the event organizers.
