A Cape Coral woman received 14 years in prison Tuesday after being found guilty of multiple burglary and grand theft counts, among other charges.

Brittany A. Lehew, 26, of 4709 Palm Tree Blvd., Apt. 3, was sentenced after she pleaded no contest in court to 11 counts of burglary of a dwelling and 10 counts of grand theft of a firearm, along with seven counts of grand theft.

Lehew also pleaded no contest to two counts each of burglary of a structure and second-degree grand theft, as well as one count each of grand theft of a motor vehicle, first-degree grand theft and criminal mischief less than $200.

“She is the co-defendant and former girlfriend of Jack Bullock,” Samantha Syoen, spokeswoman for the State Attorney’s Office, said Thursday.

Bullock, 30, of 1222 S.E. Third Ave., received 30 years in prison earlier this month after being found guilty in more than a dozen burglaries. He pleaded no contest to 17 counts of burglary and was sentenced as a “career criminal.”

“Her role was that of a ‘lookout’ while Bullock burglarized these homes,” Syoen said of Lehew.

Assistant State Attorney Tyler Lovejoy handled both cases.

Cape police responded to a burglary in February at a home on Southwest Second Place. A woman stated that someone stole jewelry, a cell phone and checks. Fingerprints from a sliding glass door reportedly matched Lehew.

At the time, she and Bullock were suspects in other burglaries.

The couple were located and arrested by police.

During questioning, Bullock and Lehew reportedly admitted to committing at least 14 burglaries. The two rode around with detectives and pointed out the homes that they had reportedly broken into and burglarized.

Cape police recovered several stolen firearms, flat screen televisions and thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from the couple, officials reported.
