Figurines, dolls, plants taken from Cape home
Nearly $8,000 worth of figurines and dolls were reported stolen from a Cape home Monday.
Cape Coral police responded to a burglary at a home in the 3600 block of Southwest Fifth Street. A man reported that he arrived at the residence after being away for over a year and found that several items were gone.
The items were 16 “Maud Bogart” collection Hummel figurines, two Chinese dolls that are 100 years old, about 10 miscellaneous human figurines and statuettes, and two Mexican paper mache art pieces, according to a report.
About five fake plants in baskets and a pool filter were also taken.
The items are valued at approximately $7,765, the report states.
