Report: Home burglarized in southwest
More than $7,000 worth of items were reportedly stolen from a home.
Cape Coral police responded to a report of a burglary Tuesday in the 400 block of Southwest 37th Street. A woman stated that she left for work in the morning and returned home later to find the lights on and items gone.
Police observed deep pry marks in the front door in the areas at the dead bolt and door handle, according to a report. The door will need replacing.
The missing items include sporting goods, clothing, a 12-gauge shotgun, silver double-band wedding and engagement ring, Playstation III with four controllers, Toshiba laptop, toolbox containing a socket set and jewelry.
The items are valued at about $7,350, according to the report.
