Fifty storm drain grates were stolen from a Cape Coral compound.
A supervisor from the city’s water works department contacted police on Thursday and reported that the grates were missing at 2615 N.W. 12th Ave. The compound is located in an open field and it is not surrounded by a fence.
The man estimated that each grate weighs 100 to 150 pounds.
