$18,000 worth of jewelry taken from Cape home

More than $18,000 worth of jewelry was reported stolen from a Cape home.
Cape Coral police responded to a report of a burglary Wednesday night at a residence in the 1800 block of Southeast 26th Terrace. A woman told police that she returned home to find the rear patio door ajar and some jewelry on the ground.
According to a police report, a jewelry box and two jewelry dressers in the home had been entered and numerous items were stolen. The stolen pieces included gold rings, pinky rings, pendants, women’s watches and bracelets.
The missing items are reportedly valued at approximately $18,125.
The woman told officers that “only the good gold jewelry had been taken,” along with some necklaces from a rack in one bedroom, the report states.
