Updated: Police release composit sketches of possible suspect in Cape homicide
Cape Coral police have released a vehicle description and composite sketches they believe may be linked to a homicide that occurred last Sunday in the northwest Cape.
A witness described seeing a gold or tan SUV, possibly a Ford Explorer approximately five years old, driving away from the scene around the time of the homicide, according a prepared statement released by the Cape Coral Police Department Saturday.
Police are asking anyone who lives in the area of 427 N.W. 10th St. who remembers seeing a vehicle of this description in the neighborhood last Sunday to contact the Cape Coral Police Department.
Police were dispatched to the home last weekend following a 5:15 p.m. 911 call. Arriving officers met with Alina Valdez-Martinez, who told police that she had arrived at her ex-husband’s house and found him dead inside the residence.
Ariel Desada, 40, had been shot, officials said.
According to police, witnesses have since been able to provide a description of a suspect and two composite sketches of the individual described have been developed.
The suspect is described as being 30-35 years old; he spoke Spanish with a Cuban dialect. He is described as being 5’9 – 5’10 and weighing between 180 and 190 pounds and is very muscular.
Police ask anyone who recognizes this man to contact the Cape Coral Police Department.
