A Cape Coral man was picked up on a warrant Wednesday for a sexual assault on a juvenile, according to an arrest report.
James Alan Burns, 32, of 1271 S.E. Eighth St., Apt. 103, was located at about 4:30 p.m. riding his bicycle in the 1300 block of S.E. 31st Terrace. A check found that Burns had an active warrant out of the sheriff’s office.
He was taken into custody and transferred to the Lee County Jail.
Burns was booked on one count of sex assault battery on a victim under 12.
As of Thursday, he remained in custody at the jail. He was denied bond.
Burns has a court date scheduled July 11, according to booking records.
