The city of Cape Coral celebrated the competion of road work on Del Prado Boulevard with a family fun fest Saturday.
A ribbon cutting was accompanied by a Family Fun Walk, a one-mile trek along the roadway that featured local businesses offering giveaways and information.
As part of the city’s five year road improvement program, Del Prado was widened from four lanes to six from Pine Island Road to Kismet. Other new features include new street lighting, landscaping, three new off-site bridges, two wider bridges, new traffic signals, storm drainage and pedestrian paths.
