Cape Coral Police to host Safe Senior Workshop

The Cape Coral Police Dept. will host a free “Safe Senior Workshop” on June 8 at police headquarters. This will take place at our training facility from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
The department also will offer a complete station tour after the workshop.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the challenges that many face in today’s society.
Presentations will be conducted on:
* Elder Exploitation
* Identity Theft
* Crime prevention
* Services available through DCF
* Lee Memorial & fall prevention
* Safe driving in Cape Coral
* Project Life Saver
Breakout sessions and information tables will also be available as will complimentary coffee and refreshments.
Other highlights will include guest speakers such as Lee Memorial on “Fall Prevention” and DCF on Elder abuse/exploitation.
Additionally, informational booths will be set up with information about services available to our senior population.
