On Sunday, May 29, from noon until 4 p.m., the Sheriff’s Youth Activities League will hold the 2011 Public Safety Expo at Greenwell’s Family Fun Park, located at 35 N. Pine Island Road, Cape Coral.
The Public Safety Expo is open to people of all ages and includes participation from law enforcement, fire, emergency services and animal services. The event features lectures for kids dealing with bullying, fire safety, water safety, dog bites, Stranger Danger and household poisons. Exhibits will showcase the Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit, traffic motorcycles, a fire safety trailer, the K9 Unit and SWAT team.
The expo is free to the public. Unlimited batting cages, go-karts and mini-golf at Greenwell’s will be available for just $12. All proceeds will go to the Sheriff’s Youth Activities League.
