Burglars take two rings from Cape home
A $10,000 ring was reported stolen Monday from a Cape Coral home.
At about 11:23 a.m., Cape police responded to a report of a burglary at a residence in the 1100 block of Cape Coral Parkway, West. A woman reported that someone forced entry into the home and removed at least two rings.
The woman said that she left the home at about 7:30 a.m.
According to a police report, one ring is gold and contains approximately 10 diamond nuggets. It is valued at about $10,000. The second ring is white gold and is a butterfly ring. It is worth an estimated $2,000.
Police reported that a glass window next to the front door had been broken. Inside, several dressers were emptied and ransacked and every room seemed to have been entered. The woman believed that more items had been taken.
She said she would provide police with a more detailed list at a later date.
