Dave Stokes formally launched his campaign Thursday for the City of Cape Coral District 7 council seat.
He pledges to work for all residents of Cape Coral.
According to his announcement release, Stokes is a Florida native and has called Cape Coral home for many years. He and his family are active in the community and for many years have participated with their children at Cape Coral Junior Football Association including being an assistant coach.
Dave and his wife Lisa have four teenage children.
Stokes has been involved in serving his community since he became a volunteer firefighter in 1988 with the City of Melrose Fire Department. He is now a career professional Firefighter/Paramedic with Charlotte County Fire & EMS and has been awarded three Phoenix Awards during his service.
Stokes said he looks forward to speaking with the people of Cape Coral and welcomes their ideas, concerns, hopes, and visions for the future of the city.
