Del Prado traffic shifts to new lanes
Beginning today, May 2, motorists traveling northbound on Del Prado Boulevard between SR 78 / Pine Island Road and Northeast 10th Terrace will shift onto new travel lanes. This latest traffic pattern will allow local traffic to access the newly constructed side street at Northeast 10th Terrace east of Del Prado Boulevard and Northeast 16th Place.
In addition, motorists are advised to use caution while traveling through the new signalized intersection at Del Prado Boulevard and SR 78 / Pine Island Road. Last night, crews removed the massive signal structure that used to span across Del Prado Boulevard and SR 78 / Pine Island Road. Crews then installed new mast arms including signal heads. All travel lanes at this intersection are open to traffic.
Del Prado Boulevard is being widened from four to six lanes, resurfaced and realigned at the intersection SR 78 / Pine Island Road. Currently, the project is on schedule, on budget and has an anticipated completion date of summer 2011.
