Jewelry, other items stolen from Cape Coral home
More than $13,000 worth of jewelry and other items were reported stolen Monday from a home.
Cape Coral police responded to a grand theft in the 2100 block of Southwest 15th Place. A woman reported that she had had an acquaintance living in her home for the past two months, and during that time, things went missing.
On Jan. 30, the woman noticed most of her jewelry missing. She told police that she believes the acquaintance took her belongings and that she has not heard from that acquaintance in days and that she cannot reach the person.
The missing items include 1-carat stud earrings, a 14-karat gold necklace with an oval charm, a Timex gold woman’s watch, a 14-karat name ring with diamonds, 14-karat gold hoop earrings, a diamond bracelet, a pair of turtle earrings with necklace and bracelet, and five 14-karat gold bracelets.
Also reported missing was a heart-shaped jewelry box and a wooden jewelry box with miscellaneous gold, miscellaneous earrings, an XM radio and a Jensen car radio.
The items have an estimated total value of $13,500.
The woman signed a statement stating that she wished to press charges.
