Man under state supervision for inference of custody of minor
A 21-year-old Cape Coral man accused of having sexual relations with a teen will remain under state supervision for five years.
Christian Alonso Ludena, of 203 S.W. 16th Place, pleaded guilty to one count of interference with custody of minor in February. Adjudication was withheld.
According to court documents, he received five years of state probation.
On July 31, the parents of a 15-year-old girl contacted Cape police in reference to a 19-year-old man found naked in their daughter’s room. The mother reported that she woke up at about 1:30 a.m. to the dog barking. She found the man leaning over her daughter’s bed with the girl in it.
According to a police report, the mother screamed and the man jumped out the window, ran to a vehicle and drove away. The teen admitted that she had met the man at the Northwest Regional Library and that she had been talking to him on a social networking site and had been texting him over the phone.
The teen reportedly denied having any sexual activity with the man.
The mother printed out a picture of the man from the social networking site and turned it over to the police department to be submitted as evidence.
On Nov. 25, Ludena visited the Cape Police Department to inquire about why they had tried to contact him at home. A check revealed that he was wanted on a warrant for a sex offense against a child, fondling victim 12 to 15 years of age. Ludena was taken into custody and booked into the Lee County Jail.
The state later amended the charge to interference with custody.
Assistant State Attorney Amanda Hutchison prosecuted the case, according to court documents. Defense attorney Rene Suarez represented Ludena.
