Vehicle, furniture, automotive parts reported stolen
A 2006 Dodge Ram was stolen from a home, along with furniture and the tires and rims on a second vehicle, according to a police report.
Cape Coral police responded to a report of a burglary Monday in the 1200 block of Southwest 52nd Terrace. A man reported that he was cutting the grass at the home when he noticed that the glass on the side garage door had been broken. The man did not notice it when he was there last week.
Officers entered the home through the door, which was unlocked. In the garage, a 2005 Jaguar was found with all four tires and rims missing. In the home, furniture seemed to be gone, including couches, a bed and dressers.
Neighbors reported seeing two men load up the Dodge, which was parked in the driveway, with furniture. They did not call police because they thought that the homeowner was moving. They provided descriptions of the two men.
Police contacted the homeowner, who reported that he did not give anyone permission to take any of his belongings, and that he would press charges.
The Dodge is a blue, four-door double cab and bears Florida tag 710WJY.
Its estimated value is $20,000, according to the report.
