Cape Coral City Manager Gary King has selected Scott Slusser to fill the role of interim Human Resources director effective later this month. Scott has worked in HR as a Staff Specialist since May 2007.
“Scott is a key contributor to our organization and is highly regarded by both his peers and staff,” said King in a prepared statement released Tuesday. “I am confident Scott will help ensure a smooth transition in HR as we move forward.”
Current HR Director Wayne Howard announced Monday that he would be retiring from the city and returning to his home in Columbia, MD.
Howard’s last day will be April 30.
