Starting Sunday, March 20, and continuing through Thursday, March 24, temporary nighttime lane closures can be expected on Del Prado Boulevard to the north and south of state Route 78 / Pine Island Road. Eastbound and westbound travel lanes on Pine Island Road will remain open during this night work. These lane closures are necessary as paving crews will perform asphalt (milling) and resurfacing operations from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Alternate routes include: Northbound motorists traveling on Del Prado Boulevard will go east on Old Pondella Road, north on Pondella Road, west on Pine Island Road onto Del Prado Boulevard.
Southbound motorists traveling on Del Prado Boulevard will go west on Diplomat Parkway, south on Andalusia Boulevard, east on Pine Island Road onto Del Prado Boulevard.
Advance warning signs, electronic message boards, and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area. While traveling through the work zone, motorists are urged to use caution, obey the posted speed limit, and seek alternate routes whenever possible. Please be advised that unforeseen circumstances and weather may affect the schedule.
