Parts reported stolen from air conditioners
Several air conditioning units at a commercial center on Hancock Bridge Parkway were stripped of their bass parts, according to a report.
Cape Coral police responded Monday to a report of theft and criminal mischief at the Hancock Professional Center, located at 2328 Hancock Bridge Parkway. Upon arrival, police met with the maintenance person.
The man told police that he received a maintenance call that the air conditioners were blowing hot air, the report states. The man arrived at approximately 2 p.m. and found that five units had been broken open.
The brass interior parts were removed from the air conditioners.
All five will have to be replaced because of the damage, according to the report. There was a Gibson air conditioner worth $3,000, two Goodman units valued at $3,500 and $4,000, and two Ruud air conditioners worth $3,500.
The man stated that the theft happened between March 1 and Monday.
