Motors stolen from two boats at Cape residence
Two motors were reported stolen Tuesday from a boat parked next to a residence in the 2100 block of Southeast 10th Place.
A man told police that between Friday and Tuesday, someone removed the outboard motor and trolling motor from his vessel. According to a police report, the two stolen motors have an estimated value of $8,700 in total.
The man reported that his boat is parked next to his residence. He last saw the motors Friday, and when he went to check on the vessel Tuesday, he saw the outboard motor was missing. The wires and lines were cut and bolts that secured the motor were missing.
The man then checked the front of the boat and found that the electric trolling motor missing from its holder, according to the report.
