More than $19,000 in jewelry has been stolen from a Cape Coral condo, according to a police report.
On Saturday, police responded to a residence in the 600 block of Victoria Drive, where a woman reported that 13 pieces of her jewelry were missing. The value of the total items is estimated at $19,150.
The woman told police that she was going to change from her silver jewelry to her gold jewelry on Thursday. When she went to her dresser where all her jewelry is neatly packaged in separate bags, she noticed a few pieces were missing. Upon a closer inspection, she realized several pieces were gone.
According to the report, the stolen items are a diamond ring with a platinum band, a diamond and solitarie necklace, a pair of white and gold hoop earrings, an Affinity watch, a Bulova watch, a 14-karat charm bracelet with 10 gold heads, a 14-karat charm bracelet with two gold sandals, a 14-karat chain with an angel charm with diamond wings, a pair of 14-karat thick gold hoop earrings, a pair of bagette diamond hoop earrings, a 14-karat ankle bracelet with hearts around it, a pair of blue topaz silver earrings, a 18-karat 20-inch round gold necklace and a 10-karat 24-inch necklace with enamel flowers.
The woman spent the next two days double checking everywhere for the jewelry before confirming that the pieces were missing, she told police. The woman said she hired a cleaning company that has been servicing her condo since December, and that no service or maintenance workers have done so.
