Lee County beaches remain unaffected by the oil spill. Although a portion of Florida’s waters off the Panhandle have been affected, area beaches are clean and clear. Florida’s commercial seafood remains safe and plentiful and has not been affected by the oil spill. Most of the Gulf of Mexico is untouched by oil.
