Fort Myers police investigating assault
Fort Myers police are looking for at least three people believed to be involved in the assault of a man who was followed home from a gas station and hit with a rock.
The victim, 43, first encountered the suspect at the Pilot Gas Station on Luckett Road. According to witnesses the man made a rude comment to a pregnant woman who was in the store. A man accompanying the woman began to argue with the victim, who then left the store. The man along with another male and two females followed the victim home. One man got out of the car and hit him in the head with a large rock causing serious injury. The victim was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital.
Three people are now wanted for questioning in the crime.
