Home reportedly burglarized in northeast
Burglars removed more than $17,000 worth of jewelry and other items from a home in northeast Cape Coral on Monday, according to a police report.
The resident left the home, located in the 1100 block of Northeast 11th Terrace, at about 8 a.m., the report states. At about 6:05 p.m. the resident received a call from relatives. They said they went into the home and noticed a light on and a 25-inch flatscreen television missing from one bedroom.
Police responded and walked through the home with the resident, according to the report. They found several belongings missing including the television, 10 hats, a Saw Zaw, a silver coin, ibuprofen, four gold chains, two necklaces, a diamond necklace, a pair of diamond earrings, a pair of earrings, a ring and silver earrings.
The stolen items are reportedly worth $17,710.
Police were unable to locate any signs of forced entry, the report states.
