NAPLES, Fla. (AP) — The family of a hunter who went missing in the Big Cypress National Preserve earlier this week remains hopeful he will be found alive.

Two sisters of 30-year-old Jamey Mosch told the Naples Daily News that they remain optimistic about efforts to locate their brother, who disappeared Monday. But Bob DeGross, a spokesman for the Big Cypress National Preserve, says authorities had thought Mosch would have been located by now.

According to a 911 call, Mosch was hunting with a group of men but decided to trek into the preserve on his own. He never returned. The other hunters called 911 when Mosch wasn’t back with the group by Monday night.

DeGross says investigators don’t suspect any criminal wrongdoing in the disappearance at this time.
