A Cape Coral man was arrested Thursday after he was found naked in the bed of an 8-year-old child who was also unclothed, police reported today.
Robert Urban, 30, of 1029 S.E. 11th Street, was charged with sexual assault over 18 years of age, sexual battery victim under 12 years of age.
Officials say Cape police responding to a call about a sex offense were told a witness reported that Urban was caught in bed with the girl, and that both Urban and the girl were naked.
An investigation by Cape Detective Todd Kerns found that Urban had committed sexual battery on the young girl, and he was arrested and charged in the assault, officials said.
