Police search Cape ‘party house’
Two residents face drug charges after a police search Wednesday evening of a Cape Coral home, which officials say was a well-known party locale and the site of a prior sexual battery.
Eric Christopher Bodden, 22, was charged with trafficking a controlled substance and two counts of possession of narcotic equipment, and Samantha Dawn Southwick, 19, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Also present was Erick Michael Rucker, 18, who was arrested on two outstanding warrants for failure to appear.
The Cape Coral Police Department’s Vice, Intelligence and Narcotics Unit located the three at 4519 S.E. 14th Place, a home where witnesses say drugs and alcohol are frequently consumed during parties, according to city spokesperson Connie Barron.
A sexual battery, resulting in charges against Candelario Zerquera, 22, also reportedly occurred at the address.
During a search of the home, VIN Unit and SWAT Team officers discovered $1,253 cash, prescription pills, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to officials.
Bodden and Rucker were arrested and transported for booking. Southwick was issued a notice to appear in court.
Bodden and Rucker have each been released from the Lee County Jail on bond, according to jail records.
