By Staff

Photo Special to the Breeze Nashville recording artist, Austin Church will perform at The Twisted Conch during the on June 12 as part of the on-going Creative Concert series.

Radio host, songwriter and peformer Austin Church will be performing at the Twisted Conch on June 12 as part of the Creative Concert series.
In an effort to continue the series, which took place this past winter in Matlacha, Pine Island resident, Kip Lawrence has once again called on the talents of his friends to keep the rhythm going. In addition to performances by Lawrence, those visiting the Twisted Conch in Cape Coral will be treated to music presented by Tequila Tom and noted performer, Austin Church.
Austin Church has been working the Nashville music scene for years and has done it all. As producer and host of the weekly radio program “Live At The Chili Shack” he interviewed the all the heavy hitters in Nashville as well as adding his own southern brand of wry humor. He also wrote and starred as Earnest Tubbs, The Texas Troubadour in a one man show based on Tubbs life and songs which achieved national acclaim. However, Austin’s first love is songwriting and you will be able to see him perform at The Twisted Conch Seafood Grill at 837 N.E. 47th Terrace June 12 along with Tequila Tom and Kip Lawrence from The Yard Dogs in the first “Cape Coral Creative Concert” from 5 to 10 p.m. Austin has written songs for many top artists including Jimmy Buffet, Del Reeves and Lyle Lovett. He has produced two recordings of his original songs “Dreamin’ Backwards” and his latest called “Propitious Melange” that, loosely translated, means good vibes.
Kip Lawrence is known as the guit-jo player and songwriter with The Yard Dogs but also solos on finger-style guitar and plays his own compositions. Tequila Tom is well known to local music fans and is able to excite audiences with his guitar, vocals and sense of humor.
The Cape Coral Creative Concert is the first of what is hoped to be a monthly concert celebrating songwriters while pairing national writers with our own, local songwriters.
Area songwriters are encouraged to attend if they have questions about the art of writing songs and to meet others who share their passion.
