Cape police search for robber; Anyone with information is asked to contact CCPD

Police are looking for a man accused of robbing a Cape Coral bank at gunpoint Monday morning.

The robbery occurred at approximately 10:31 a.m. at Region’s Bank, located at 1507 Cape Coral Parkway E.

A male suspect allegedly robbed the bank teller with a small, silver revolver. He made the bank manager walk him to her car and fled the scene in the car with an undisclosed amount of cash. The car was later located in a parking lot near Southeast 47th Terrace and Vincennes Boulevard, according to police.

No one was hurt during the robbery, said city spokesperson Connie Barron.

Police describe the alleged robber as a white male in his late 50s, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a heavy build and a mustache. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing dark dress pants, a sport coat, a white button-up shirt and dark dress shoes.
