Lee County Community Band concert Sunday at Cape Coral High School

The Lee County Community Band will present "April in Paradise," its last concert of season, at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 7 at Cape Coral High School.

Get ready for an afternoon of exuberant, toe tapping, sing-a-long fun! Under the baton of Richard Bradstreet, the band will be in top form as it performs Dixieland, lively marches, patriotic favorites, Broadway hits, and more. Selections include Satchmo!, a tribute to Louis Armstrong; Big Band Polka, and The Magic of Andrew Lloyd Webber, including themes from "Super-star;" "Don't Cry for Me, Argentina;" and "Phantom of the Opera."

The Lee County Band has been entertaining Southwest Florida audiences since 1885, and enjoys a large, loyal and enthusiastic audience. Arrive early and enjoy this final concert of the band's 133rd season. Admission is free, though donations are accepted.

The band will resume rehearsals in October, and its first performance of the 2019-20 season will on Nov. 10. All will be at Cape Coral High School at 3 p.m. Cape Coral High School is at 2300 Santa Barbara Boulevard, one block north of Veterans Parkway.

The 60-member band is comprised of professional and amateur musicians from all walks of life who reside in Lee, Collier, and Charlotte Counties. For more information, please phone John Fenn at 239-454-6430.
