The North Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce will once again put its restaurants and businesses in the spotlight as the sixth-annual Taste of North Fort Myers serves up tempting treats at the Shell Factory from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The Shell Factory, which has just wrapped up its big Easter celebration, will gear up once again for one of the last huge events of the season.
About a dozen food vendors and several more businesses are expected to participate, with area restaurants offering samples of their signature dishes, usually in the $2 to $4 range to allow patrons to be able to taste the offerings of other food vendors.
Among the highlights will be the return as Country Express as the musical act. There will also be plenty to do for the kids, with clowns, balloons, face painting and more.
Of course, the Shell Factory and Nature Park will be open.
Admission is $5, with children 10 and under free. There will not be food tickets this year as in the past, allowing the vendors to handle cash to make it easier for them.
