Lehigh Acres Overview

Lehigh Acres Overview

Situated 12 miles east of Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres is the fastest growing community in Lee County. While there are thousands of vacant lots, the town is taking measures to protect open land through Smart Growth, a comprehensive plan for the community for the next 20 years. It is expected to be a haven for baby boomer retirees.

With a population of 70,000 people and growing monthly, more people are building homes and moving to Lehigh than any other place in Southwest Florida. Lehigh is comprised of 60,000 acres and is situated in the highest part of Lee County. Some areas are 30 feet above sea level, and the city is not prone to flooding during tropical storms. If you're in Southwest Florida and would like to learn more about Lehigh and its "102 square miles of Paradise," call the Lehigh Acres Chamber of Commerce at 369.3322. In the interim, browse this site to find out what Lehigh has to offer you!
