If this will be your first visit, it probably won't be your last. Most Lee County residents were once visitors who chose to make it home. The reasons why are easy to understand. It's climate is one of the best in the nation. Water is everywhere — from the Caloosahatchee River to the Gulf beaches of Fort Myers Beach and the Islands to the canals of Cape Coral, the flats of Pine Island Sound and the paradise of the outer islands of Cayo Costa, Useppa and more. Lee County just explodes with tropical flavor.

If land-based sports are more your style, try one of the dozens of golf courses or tennis courts the county offers. If shopping is on your agenda, you'll find everything from some of Florida's finest consignment shops to upscale department stores. As you drive the miles of store-lined highways, you'll see that Lee County is filled with small, family-owned businesses...each with its own specialty served up with friendly hometown service.
